The Center for the Book Needs You!

Do you enjoy reading? Then the Center for the Book is for you.

Since 2010, the New York Library Association has been the official home for the Empire State Center for the Book. We have hosted two statewide Book Festivals, established the New York Writers Hall of Fame, sponsored the Letters About LIterature program for school children and have worked to promote books and reading throughout New York State.

The Library of Congress designation as a Center for the Book comes with no financial support for these activities.

The Center for the Book relies on grants, sponsorships and the contributions of individuals who share the ideals and support the mission of the Center to promote literature, literacy and libraries.
